These rings are specifically designed to be used on any high end sniper, target or hunting scopes.. Super Heavy Duty for GREATER STABILITY! You would only need (1) of these for an Aim Point but, if you are using these for conventional style scopes you would need (2) rings.

Height / Rise: Single Sniper Heavy Duty Ring is available in 30mm rise. This means that from the top of the rail / flat top / scope mount surface to the center of the 30mm diameter is 30mm.

Above is a Leopold 3.5 X 10 power 1" diameter scope tube with MFI 30mm Heavy Duty Medium Height Sniper Rings mounted on our MFI HK Low Profile Scope Mount. The rings are 30mm diameter but, they come with 1" reducing adapters. As you can see from the photo there are specific areas of concern in terms of fit. These areas will vary from scope to scope.

The most important area to pay attention to is the clearance of the scope tube, eye piece or zoom ring that will be directly over the rear sight on a G3 / HK 91 / HK93 / JLD / PTR91. Here the zoom ring is 1.358" in diameter. There is only a 0.100" (2.55mm) gap between the zoom ring and the rear sight. The front Objective Lens is rarely an issue but, should be measured as well. In this case the OBJ is 50mm and there is enough room to go up to a 58mm OBJ with these rings.

The rings are 30mm diameter so they do not need the 1" inserts. As you can see from the photo there are specific areas of concern in terms of fit. These areas will vary from scope to scope.

The most important area to pay attention to is the clearance of the eye piece that is directly over the rear sight on a G3 / HK 91 / HK93 / JLD / PTR91. Here the eye piece / rear housing is 1.755" in diameter. Because there is no zoom ring on this scope you need to pay attention to the front and rear of the scope equally. The front Objective Lens is 51mm and there is enough room to go up to a 58mm OBJ with these rings.
