The MFI G28 Style Muzzle Device is basically a direct copy of the original G28 Flash Suppressor (according to HK definition) found on select HK DMR 28 / AR10 Style Rifles.

We have added "Simulated Lugs" the type found on the new HK DMR G28 rifles and seen at SHOT SHOW 2016 in the HK Booth. I say "Simulated" as the real / correct Lugs have 2 that are the same and one that is taller.

I felt this was a distraction and choose to make the 3 lugs 100% symmetrical. The primary reason being cosmetic, but as no one at HK could tell us what device these lugs mated with, it appeared to also be pointless. So the lugs will NOT accommodate any accessory we know of.

The truth about "Flash Suppressors":

In the early 1990's when Congress went after "Assault Weapons" they asked BATF and the NIST to study all Muzzle Devices to determine the actual flash suppression of each. The study resulted in a surprising conclusion that 98% of all muzzle devices on Military Weapons like the M16 and M4 did next to no flash suppression.

The standard for the about of required flash elimination was at least 40%. None of the existing Bird Cage Style Muzzle Devices met that minimum and in most cases baring eliminated 15% of the flash. The study only identified 2 muzzle devices that met and in fact greatly exceeded the 40% and those were the Early Vietnam Era M16 open ended 3 prong flash hider and the SIG 552 open ended 3 prong flash hider. Both eliminated near 95% of the flash via the harmonic distortion created by the open tangs vibrating.

Of course we never heard of these results... RIGHT? F'en Fed. Gov.

While our G28 Muzzle Device may look at first glance to an uneducated person like the "Evil" Flash Suppressor so feared by the Anti-Gun Idiots, it is in fact a more a "FLASH ENHANCER" than a flash suppressor. This same photo would also represent 90% of all muzzle devices with slots in them. As we clearly state below our through hole is not limiting nor do the slots reduce the flash in any manner.

When photographed at night the muzzle flash from one of our G28s appears to actually increase the size of the flash from that of a flash from a barrel with no device on it at all. Increasing the size of the muzzle flash from what would be that from no device attached to the barrel is a physical impossibility. It is instead more noticeable as the pattern of the flash is increased in surface area making it appear to be larger than without any device in place. NOTE: Even though the overall length of this item is 3.875" part of that is the threads. As you can only count the threaded area once (threads in the product cover the threads on the barrel) so the total ADDED LENGTH to any weapons system's barrel would be about 3.25".

This item fits any weapon with a 1/2 X 28 threads WITHOUT ANY MODIFICATION. You do however need to remove the existing Flash Suppressor

This accessory does NOT affect the accuracy of the weapon in any way.
