THE PROBLEM: The GSG Blue Line Solutions StG44 / MP44 comes with an incorrect Muzzle Nut as the nut supplied is actually found only on the earlier MP43/1 & MKb-42.

THE SOLUTION: MFI’s New WWII Period Correct Replacement Muzzle Nut for the GSG / Blue Line StG-44 / MP-44.

The MFI MP-44 / StG-44 Muzzle Nut is constructed out of 2 separate parts in order to achieve the correct detailed appearance. This attention to detail gives the appearance of a .30 caliber exit hole and the illusion of a threaded barrel that be being covered by a thread protector nut. In fact, we go the extra mile in cost and make this item from 2 separate parts that are threaded together to create this illusion. Sure, we could save money and make them out of one piece, but then it would not look anywhere near as cool and correct.

NOTE: The GSG MP44 / Blue Line Solutions StG 44 in .22 LR has a unique muzzle nut set up, where the barrel of the rifle is recessed about 1.5” down in the barrel shroud almost behind the front sight housing. The actual barrel that the bullet travels through is NOT the barrel that you see on the outside. While this is NOT important to this product, it is important to note as these 2 barrels may or may not be concentric with each other, thus making the use of a sound suppressor / silencer questionable. In testing several GSG Blue Line StG44s the barrels are near concentric, but not perfectly matched, so logic would dictate that you need to have a qualified Gunsmith test your specific rifle to see what if any suppressor / silencer is appropriate.

I mention the above as I also have an adapter to make the jump from the GSG Blue Line StG 44 / MP 44 to my WWII Period Correct L42 / L-42 fake silencer for the MP40 to also fit the MP44 / GSG StG44 in .22 LR. In this specific application, all test rifles placed the bullet exit hole dead center of the through hole of the L42 faux suppressor. So 100% no issues with this use, as the exit / through hole of the L-42 is over 0.470", which is double the size of a .22 bullet.
