HALO™ High Visibility Military Style Glint Tape (Reflective) 1" Wide X 36" Long

HALO Tape uses the same super reflective Scotchlite
reflective material from 3M Company as the Halo Helmet Band but, has a super strong adhesive backing for
custom applications on bicycle and motorcycle helmets and vehicles. HALO Retro-Reflective Glint
Tape can be cut and trimmed to fit practically any shape.

HALO Tape is perfect for use with open face and opening face plate helmets,
such as the BMW System 2 and 3 helmets. HALO Tape can also be applied to
visible areas on motorcycles and bicycles and is very popular with night time
roller bladers.

MILITARY APPLICATIONS: Also known as "GLINT TAPE". This is the same tape that we supply to the military to quickly identify friendly forces from behind. Most often applied in small quantities (usually 2 small rectangles) to the back of the helmet it can also be applied to any hard surface such as a vehicle. This is the same reflective material found on Police Uniforms, Firefighters Helmets & Jackets, Military Pilot Floatation Vests as well as Search & Rescue Operators Vests.

SPECIAL NOTE ON GLINT TAPES: There a number of different types of "Glint Tapes" with varying degrees of reflective quality. Most Glint Tapes are visible light retro-reflective only as they are very dark in tone / color. Others are IR (INFERRED) retro-reflective only and usually look like black duct tape. Our HALO TAPE / Glint Tape reflects BOTH visible and IR light.

HALO TAPE is NOT the IR Reflective ONLY type of Glint Tape. Meaning that the reflection from an IR source can be seen ONLY through night vision devices. If you need IR ONLY this is not the product for you. IR Glint Tape REQUIRES both an IR light source & Night Vision to be seen.

We often have customers who mix our Halo High Visibilaty Reflective Glint Tape with our HALO Glow Tape to give a second level of safety / quick identification against fratricide / friendly fire accidents. Glow tape works 100% differently than HALO Tape as it has very little reflective quality.

SPECIAL SHAPES: Unit numbers and letters can also be die cut along with specific geometric shapes. Die cutting is generally reserved for quantity orders exceeding 1000 units of the same shape. Die costs vary depending on the difficulty of the design, but are generally between $400.00 and $800.00. Dies can be re-sharped and thus are good for about 250,000 strikes.
