MFI Slip On Flash Suppressor For Century Arms CETME SPORTER Rifles / NEVER TO BE MADE AGAIN!

This mount fits ONLY the Century Arms CETME SPORTER rifles WITHOUT a threaded barrel and is 922r compliant.

May or may NOT fit other Century Models or other rifle barrels. Slip over application with I.D. hole @ 0.585". So check before you buy.

So I bought this CETME Sporter from Century which is an HK91 style clone for $600.00... I got a deal as it did not have a threaded barrel. Of course this bothered the hell out of me, so set out to find a SLIP ON HK G3 / PTR-91 Style Flash Hider. To my surprise no one made one.

So I then figure... How hard would it be to thread the barrel?... I bought one of those 15mm dies, a die holder and an in the barrel centering tool... Well it almost worked... So with a cock-eyed thread then Flash Suppressor looks stupid and worse yet the end of the barrel has none centered threads... CRAP!!!

As a manufacturer I figured... If no one makes one and I have this problem, others out there must also have the same problem. Why not just make a SLIP ON version? So I did... Here is the prototype... It is held on with a single set screw hidden at the bottom. I copies the Heckler & Koch muzzle break / flash suppressor exactly with the exception of the thread and I increased the rear ring a little bit to accommodate the set screw better. I placed the Flash Hider on and tightened the set screw enough to mark the barrel, then I deviated / drilled a shallow hole in the barrel to allow the set screw to really grip. Of course you should weld it in place too as vibration will eventually loosen the set screw.

The I.D. of the hole is a very tight tolerance and you may need to tap it on with a rubber hammer.

Pictured above is the Prototype in the raw white / unplanted weapons grade steel. The finished product will have a hard coat Mil/ Spec. Parkerized Finish in a very deep gray color.

I also left the set screw stick out so you could see the location better. When the screw is tightened all the way it will NOT stick out.

So if you are looking to buy a CETME Sporter rifle without a threaded barrel or even a screwed up thread... No worries we have you covered or should I say "We have your barrel covered".

Muzzle Brakes are also known as: Flash Suppressor, Flash Hider, Flash Hinder & Anti Climb Device.

These are designed for LIVE FIRING.

We test all our Muzzle Brakes to be 100% sure that they function shot after shot without any problems.

MFI uses the term "Flash Suppressor" ONLY in reference to the shape / look that our Muzzle Brakes have as they are designed to mimic the external appearance of their Military Counterparts.

This Flash Suppressor / Muzzle Break will NOT allow the use of a standard CETME or HK G3 bayonet. First of all we copied the HK G3 flash suppressor which is larger in diameter than the hole in the CETME bayonet. Additionally the fact that this product SLIPS OVER the barrel and thus becomes about 1" too short.

Because of the stigma associated with CETME (in the eyes of the HK owners) I knew that this would be a labor of love and that it would likely never be a high production product like our other Flash Suppressors lineup are.
