MFI Replacement WWII Period Correct Front Sight Hood for the Blue Line Solutions .22 LR ONLY / NOT FOR 9mm ATI MP-40 / MP40 / MP38 / Price Includes S&H via 1st Class USPS + Insurance

There are a number of cosmetic issues the Blue Line Solutions .22 LR MP40 has that are far from being “Period Correct”. The front sight hood is one of those.

The MFI Replacement Period Correct Front Sight Hood for the MP-40 fixes this problem. The Blue Line Solutions .22 LR MP40 front sight hood is incorrect in the shape of the sides and top as well as the open front end.

The Original WWII Nazi “Maschinenpistole 40 “ aka “The Schmeisser” (incorrectly I might add as Hugo Schmeisser while the designer of the MP18 had nothing to do with the MP38 or MP40 projects) ... anyway The MP-40 SMG / Submachine Gun or MP-38 / MP40 Machine-Pistol has a enclosed front end, a complete symmetrical round globe top and cut outs to adjust the front sight blade without removing the muzzle nut and front sight house / hooded front sight.

NOTE: I did not include the second hole you will find on either side of the original WWII MP 40 as that hole is for pin that holds the hood onto the barrel and has no purpose on the Blue Line Solutions .22 LR MP40 as it lacks that hole anyway.

100% Plug and play, just unscrew your muzzle nut (and while you are at it replace the Blue Line Solutions .22 LR muzzle nut with a new WWII Period Correct muzzle nut) slide off the incorrect Blue Line Solutions .22 LR MP 40 front sight hood and slide the MFI one on in it's place.

Made from billet 6061 T-6 Aircraft Aluminum with Mil. Spec. Matt Black Anodizing, so once you get some oil on it, it becomes a near perfect match to your ATI painted finish.

Made to specifically fit the Blue Line Solutions .22 LR MP40. It will NOT fit the MP40 in .9mm by ATI / GSG? Can it be made to fit the original or some model MP-40 non-gun? Maybe. I have access to a couple real WWII MP40s in order to make this as close to the original as possible. It could be made to fit a real MP-40, but you would need to file down some material on the flat sides of the inside of the Hood to get it to fit. Model Gun MP 40??? Who knows and I do not care.

NOTE: This also would need to be installed BEFORE any Barrel Extension is pinned and welded on. I also make those if you want to convert your MP40 pistol to a Legal BATF 16” barrel length via a steel barrel extension and Period Correct shroud that hides the barrel extension to make it look like a suppressed MP40 from World War II.
